Hydrogen 2000, Inc.'s first project, Element One,
is a one-hour television documentary about hydrogen energy. It describes
the environmental effects of burning fossil fuels, and describes
alternatives using electric vehicles and natural gas. It shows how
scientists in Germany, Japan, Canada, and the United States are
developing fuel cells and hydrogen systems as a nonpolluting, sustainable
energy system. Element One also addresses the effects of CO2 emissions
on climate change; the health effects of air pollution; alternative
solutions, including electric, natural gas, and fuel cell vehicles;
and how the development of hydrogen energy technologies translates
into economic development, and the creation of new, high-skill and
high-wage jobs. Element One was supported by the U.S., Canadian,
and Japanese governments and industries from around the world.
